How to accept online payments
Deposits change customer behavior — but surprise charges create chargebacks. Show the amount before they tap pay.
- 1Connect Stripe or SumUp under Settings → Connected accounts → Payments.
- 2Enable deposits on the service(s) you want — typically 20–30% for services over $80.
- 3Add your cancellation/refund policy to the booking page footer (required before go-live).
- 4Run a €1 test booking and refund it to verify the full flow.
Stripe settles to your bank in 2–7 business days depending on country. SumUp is faster for in-person businesses already on their hardware — same deposit flow, different processor.
